- The Christian Community of Bhoomiyamkulam has a history of 50 years. They
came over to the High Ranges from planes of Kerala especially from Karimannoor, Cheenikuzhy, Thodupuzha etc.
- The Church was established in 1977 (25/10/1977). The Vicars of Vazhathope
Parish were in charge of Bhoomiyamkulam.
- In 1982 Rev.Fr.
Joseph Koithanathu was appointed as the First Resident Vicar of Bhoomiyamkulam - Mulakuvally - Maniyarankudy, and the Parish
was officially established on 2nd March 1984.
- Mar. George Punnakkottil
, the Bishop of Kothamangalm Granted permission to construct a moders chruch and the foundation stone was laid by his excellency
on 12th November 1984.It took six yers to complete the work and the new Church was consecratd on 29th April 1990.
